Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

FreelanceBook offers both monthly and yearly Pro subscription plans. You have full control over your subscription and can cancel it at any time from your dashboard. This page explains how cancellation works, what happens to your data, and when you may be eligible for a refund upon cancellation.

2. How to Cancel Your Subscription

You can cancel your Pro subscription directly from your FreelanceBook dashboard by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your FreelanceBook account and go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Billing or Subscription section.
  3. Click on Cancel Subscription.
  4. Confirm your cancellation when prompted.

Alternatively, you can email us at support@freelancebook.in from your registered email address with the subject line "Cancel Subscription" and we will process your cancellation within 24 hours.

3. Refund on Cancellation

Refund eligibility depends on when you cancel relative to your purchase or renewal date:

  • First-time purchase: If you cancel within 7 days of your first-ever Pro subscription purchase, you are eligible for a full refund. This 7-day cooling-off period applies only to your initial purchase and not to subsequent renewals.
  • Subscription renewals: If you cancel within 48 hours of a renewal charge, you may request a prorated refund based on the unused portion of the billing period. Refund requests for renewals beyond 48 hours are not eligible for a refund.
  • After the refund window: If you cancel after the applicable refund period (7 days for first purchase, 48 hours for renewals), your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No refund will be issued, but you will continue to have access to all Pro features until the period expires.

To request a refund, email support@freelancebook.in with your registered email address and transaction ID. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.

4. What Happens After Cancellation

When you cancel your Pro subscription, the following happens:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period (monthly or yearly). You will not lose access immediately upon cancelling.
  • After the billing period ends, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan with its standard limits (5 invoices per month, 3 clients).
  • All your existing data — invoices, clients, expenses, receipts, and tax records — is safely preserved. You retain read-only access to all your historical data even on the Free plan.
  • Pro-exclusive features such as email invoice delivery, recurring invoices, expense tracking with receipt photos, AI Tax Assistant, and advance tax reminders will no longer be available once the subscription expires.
  • You can upgrade back to Pro at any time to regain full access to all features.

5. Yearly Subscription Cancellation

If you purchased a yearly Pro subscription and decide to cancel, the same 7-day refund window applies for first-time purchases. If you cancel after 7 days, your Pro access will continue until the end of the 12-month period you paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds for yearly cancellations beyond the initial 7-day window, except as required by applicable law.

6. No Cancellation Fees

FreelanceBook does not charge any cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time without penalty. The only factor that determines refund eligibility is the timing of your cancellation relative to the purchase or renewal date, as outlined in Section 3 above.
